I know what you're thinking. Isn't it a little early for Christmas posts?
Never.
Now that we've got that out of the way, I'm super excited to share one of our favorite holiday traditions with you guys!
Growing up, my Nana and I made oatmeal cookies together. It's just what we did, and they're my #1, hands down, absolute favorite cookie ever. She had the most amazing recipe and it's a memory that I'll cherish forever. When she passed away a few years ago, I knew making cookies was something I wanted to share with my kids, and a special way to keep Nana in our hearts.
Although we make these cookies throughout the year, one of our favorite traditions is to make them on Christmas Eve. Saydee loves getting her Christmas jammies on, and making cookies together while I tell her stories about her great grandma.
There's nothing more fun as a kid than getting messy and baking yummy desserts!
Of course while we're baking during the holidays, the kids think it's super important that we look the part, and Gymboree has THE cutest matching holiday pajamas for the kids! We love wearing our pj's for weeks leading up to Christmas to make sure we get good use out of them ;) You all know my favorite thing is to match Say and Knix, so these coordinating pj's are right up my alley. ADORABLE.
I think we can all agree that the holidays are without a doubt the best time to be a kid. The decorations and lights, music, and especially the holiday traditions make being a kid so much fun during this time.
