Stop #2 was Monterey! Saydee couldn't wait to get into the water (she also did this in Sant Cruz, and yes, it was FREEZING both times) so Eric took her to the beach right when we got there and Knix and I napped ;) We strolled around that evening and grabbed dinner at Monterey Crepe Company. It was sooooo good, and of course we finished our meal with some Nutella strawberry crepes. So. Good.

Here we stayed at the Hotel Pacific. It was SO cute, and even had a little courtyard in the back for the kids to crawl around and play outside. It was perfect for us.

The next day we headed to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was actually there that Eric and I got news that he were no longer going to be with the A's. I probably looked a little silly as I was tearing up in the middle of the aquarium, but the Bay Area has had a piece of our hearts for the last 6 years. It was a little crazy to imagine our lives somewhere else, but it made our trip even that much more special, and we were glad we could see all of these things and make these lasting memories as we departed the Bay for the last time.

The aquarium was great and we had the best time. I loved seeing the kids faces as they saw new creatures for the first time. They both loved the jellyfish, and the exhibit was amazing. I think they were my favorite, too!
