new beginnings

I have always fully believed that although everyday might not be good, there is always something good in everyday.

My hope is that this blog will continue to help me see the good in each day, push me outside of my comfort zone, and force me to try and experience new things. That's where Blueberry Change comes into play. My husband (Eric) tries to get me to try new foods all the time. He rarely succeeds, but a few years ago he finally got me to try blueberries again [for the first time in about 5 years]. I swore up and down that I hated them, but after his pushing and prodding I finally gave in. Needless to say, there aren't many days that go by where I don't eat blueberries at some point. I'm obsessed, slightly addicted, and SO glad I tried them again! I love those juicy little buggers.

I'm vowing here and now to be open, adventurous, and am hoping to experience lots of Blueberry Change during this journey!

I'm not positive on the direction this blog is going, but I can tell you this much...it will be real. It will be my real thoughts on the awesomely-good things I find in everyday [this ranges from old people walking down the street holding hands to cake batter ice-cream to the perfect red lipstick], the real crappy things that sometimes happen, and the real way I feel about and see life.

Cheers to a new blog, and to making everyday a good day!

  1. I have similar food issues. I tried blueberries for the first time this year too. I had a goal to try 1 new food a month, but the last couple months I didn't. My experience so far has been that most foods I've tried don't tats nearly as bad as I've built them up in my head. :)

    1. Thanks Beki! I love that goal of one new food a month. I don't know if I get out enough to keep up with that lol but it's a great idea, love it!

    2. I was mostly just trying new veggies/fruit. I found I did NOT like eggplant, but Brussel sprouts (cooked w/ bacon) we not terrible. For me it was about trying new recipes and overcoming that fear of food. I'm excited to read more about your journey!
