cricut: make it now crafts

Friday, January 20, 2017

Hey again! I've had so many people asking about the Cricut since my last post, so I thought the perfect way to show a little more was to walk you through one of Cricut's "make-it-now" projects!

There are tons of categories to choose from...paper crafts, printables, planners, iron-on, and of course tons of projects for every holiday! I love all of the things I can make with and for Saydee, and she loves to help and watch the machine work! I went to the "coloring pages" section of Design Space, and chose this adorable Bake Shoppe coloring book to customize for Say.

This one was totally customizable, so we of course changed all of the names from Gabby to Saydee, and even changed the little baker's hair color. Say requested that she have a dark pink dress, so we made that happen too.

We loaded the cardstock onto the mat, followed the on-screen instructions of which pen to put in, and when, and before we knew it, her coloring book was being drawn and cut with zero more effort on our end. Just how we like it haha!

When it was done drawing/writing, it then cut out each page, including the holes at the top we we could piece it all together! We would peel the page off the mat, place a new piece of cardstock on for the next page, and let it go to work again!

Saydee loved being able to help, and now she has an adorable personalized coloring book that she's really proud of! There were step-by-step instructions on how to personalize this coloring book, or you could have simply made it just how it was! SO. EASY!

Feel free to leave any comments or questions you have, below! I'm still a total beginner, but I'm happy to help if you're thinking about getting a Cricut :)
