homemade play dough
Thursday, September 15, 2016
So, I did all the work for you. You're welcome.
I scoured Pinterest for hours on end trying to find the PERFECT recipe. I went through a million recipes, read a million reviews, and combined a few to make the perfect play dough. It really is...perfect.
My favorite part is it only took a handful of ingredients, and maybe 30 minutes to make all three colors. It's the easiest recipe with the easiest clean up. Saydee loves play dough but I was so sick of buying it over and over because it would get left out and dry up. I can seriously whip up a batch of this stuff in no time, but I haven't had to because it's lasted so well!
Here you go:
Ingredients
1C Flour
1C Water
1C Salt
2t Cream of Tarter
1T Vegetable Oil
Food Coloring - (I used 4/6 drops. Simply depends on what color you like best!)
Directions
In a sauce pan, combine all ingredients.
Stir ingredients until combined.
Once combined, turn on heat to medium and continue to stir.
Stir your little heart out until ingredients combine and one large clump is formed.
Take out of pan and knead, but be careful, it was just on the stove so it will be hot ;)
TA-DA you did it!
Simple as that. Enjoy!
